Alesso is a Swedish DJ and electronic music producer. Born in Stockholm in 1991, he started producing music at the age of 16. Influenced by artists like Swedish House Mafia and Avicii, he quickly rose to fame in the world of electronic music. Alesso signed his first contract with the Dutch House label, Defected Records, in 2010. The following year, his remix of "Pressure" by Nadia Ali became one of the most popular of the year. In 2012, he reached the 20th spot on DJ Mag's DJ ranking. He has collaborated with several international artists such as Calvin Harris, Usher, David Guetta, and Sebastian Ingrosso. His most popular tracks include "Heroes" (featuring Tove Lo), "Under Control" (with Calvin Harris and Hurts), and "Let Me Go" (with Hailee Steinfeld and Florida Georgia Line). In addition to his studio work, Alesso is known for his live performances. He has played on major electronic music festival stages such as Ultra Music Festival, Coachella, and Tomorrowland.
