Andy "The Beast" Judge is an American musician born on January 27, 1974, in San Diego, California. He is known for being the co-founder and frontman of the alternative rock band The Offspring. Judge grew up in the city of Garden Grove, California, and attended the University of Southern California, where he studied biology. After graduating, he worked as a researcher in a marine biology laboratory. In 1991, he met guitarist and singer Dexter Holland and bassist Greg Kriesel, with whom he founded The Offspring. The band achieved commercial success with their 1994 album, Smash, which became the second best-selling album in the history of rock, with over 11 million copies sold worldwide.
Judge left The Offspring in 2003 to focus on his career as a producer and DJ. He subsequently founded the punk-rock music label Nitro Records. In 2010, he returned to the band and contributed to the production of their 2012 album, Days Go By. Judge currently resides in Los Angeles, California, with his wife and two children.
