BIOGRAPHY
Captain Jack is a German eurodance music group active from 1995 until 2019. The group is primarily known for their hits that combine elements of military music with pop and dance music. Popular songs include "Drill Instructor" and "Captain Jack". The original lineup consisted of Francisco Alejandro Gutierrez, better known as Franky Gee, and Liza da Costa. Unfortunately, Franky Gee passed away in 2005, but the group continued with new members.
Captain Jack has produced six studio albums, one live album, three compilation albums, two remix albums, three special albums, and numerous singles. Their music is popular in Europe and has been used in a variety of advertising mediums, including video games.
In 2010, the group launched a side project called "Captain Jack's Army". This is a special project that combines Captain Jack's music with traditional music pieces from different cultures. The group released an album under this name, titled "Back to the Dance Floor".
The group ceased operations in 2019, but their music continues to evoke nostalgia for the eurodance of the 90s and early 2000s.
