BIOGRAPHY
John Snow (born September 24, 1988) is an American singer-songwriter and musician. He is best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the independent rock band The Paper Kites.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Snow grew up in the suburb of Arlington Heights. He began playing guitar at the age of 13, and began writing songs shortly after. He studied music and English at the University of Colorado Boulder, but eventually dropped out to focus on his musical career.
The Paper Kites released their first EP, Woodland, in 2011. The band's first full-length album, States, was released in 2012. The album reached number three on the Australian iTunes charts and was certified gold in Australia. The band's second album, twelvefour, was released in 2015. It reached number two on the Australian iTunes charts and was certified platinum in Australia.
Snow has also released three solo EPs: In the Pines (2011), To the Snow (2012), and Winter's Coming (2013).
In addition to his work with The Paper Kites, Snow has collaborated with several other artists, including Lana Del Rey, Birdy, and Christina Perri.
