Kirsty Hawkshaw is a British musician and singer born on December 6, 1966, in Fulham, London. She is known for her collaboration with the techno group The KLF and with trance music producer BT.
Hawkshaw began her musical career playing the violin in youth orchestras in her hometown of Fulham, London. At the age of 16, she joined the gothic rock band Opus III, with whom she recorded an album, Garden of Delights (1984). She then left the group to pursue a solo career.
In 1991, Hawkshaw joined the techno group The KLF and participated in the recording of their album The White Room. She also worked with trance music producer BT on several of his albums, including ESCM (1996) and These Hopeful Machines (2010).
Hawkshaw has also recorded several solo albums, including The Icehouse (1997) and Beauty Reaps the Blood of Solitude (2011). She has also collaborated with numerous other artists, such as Depeche Mode, Orbital, Delerium, and Enigma.
