BIOGRAPHY

Maná is a Mexican rock group formed in 1986 in Guadalajara, Jalisco. The group consists of Fernando Olvera (also known as Fher, lead singer and guitarist), Alex González (drummer), Sergio Vallín (guitarist), and Juan Calleros (bassist). Maná is often considered one of the most influential and successful Spanish-language rock bands globally. Their music blends elements of rock, reggae, and salsa, among others. Over the years, Maná has released several successful albums such as "¿Dónde Jugarán los Niños?" in 1992, which is one of the best-selling Spanish-language rock albums of all time. Other notable albums include "Sueños Líquidos" in 1997, "Revolución de Amor" in 2002, and "Cama Incendiada" in 2015. Maná is known for its activist songs, addressing themes such as love, politics, peace, and the environment. The group has also been awarded numerous awards, including several Grammy Awards and Latin Grammy Awards. The group has captivated a wide audience internationally, with numerous world tours and an extensive fan base, not only in Latin America but also in the United States, Europe, and beyond. Maná remains an influential force in Latin music, staying active both in the musical scene and in various social and environmental causes.
