Philip Mayer is an Austrian contemporary classical music artist, born in 1966. He studied composition with Karlheinz Essl and Peter Ablinger. In 1993, he received the Erste Bank Prize for his piano and orchestra composition. Philip Mayer then dedicated his career to teaching composition and has been invited to give master classes in several universities. His works have been performed at numerous music festivals in Europe, North America, and Asia. He currently lives and works in Vienna, Austria.
